Hathor does not collect any personal data. No tracking, analytics or advertising; no data is sold or shared. The app talks to your own Plex server and to public catalogues (Apple Music/iTunes, MusicBrainz, ListenBrainz, Wikidata/Wikipedia, podcast and radio directories) without sending personal information. New content (monthly charts, news) is downloaded from GitHub Pages like a plain web page: no personal information is sent; GitHub only sees your IP address, as with any website. Your settings, listening history, collections and downloads stay on your device; if iCloud Drive is on, a copy of your listening log and Discovery cards is kept in your own private iCloud space, which the developer cannot access. The microphone is used only when you ask to recognize a song from the Wishlist, through Apple’s ShazamKit (an audio fingerprint is sent to Apple; Hathor keeps no recording). Hathor+ and the Hathor Pass are bought through the App Store; payment is handled entirely by Apple and the developer never receives your name, email or payment details. Multiplayer Blind Test runs only on your local Wi-Fi. Demo music by Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com), CC BY 4.0. Contact: GitHub issues.
